Oxford Library Code of Conduct
The Oxford College Library welcomes you to an environment conducive to a variety of study needs and intellectual pursuits. We provide quality services, excellent resources, comprehensive collections, and a comfortable and safe environment.
This Code of Conduct is intended to ensure a positive experience for all library users. Library users can expect to be treated with courtesy and respect by library staff and other library users, in keeping with Emory University's policies and the Emory Libraries policies.
All library users, including visitors, are expected to treat library staff and other library users with courtesy and respect and are subject to relevant University policies, including, but not limited to:

Emory Network IDs (NetIDs) -- Do not share your EmoryCard or NetID with another person.
Library Policies

Food and Drink. You may consume food and drink in the libraries. Please remember to clean up your food containers. In the event of a spill, contact a staff member.

Personal Space. Keep in mind that many library users expect to study without interruption while in the library. You may be asked to leave the library if you are disruptive to others.

Quiet Spaces. The Libraries have dedicated quiet study spaces. Check for signage or ask a staff member for locations. Consider booking a study room here: https://emorylibraries.libcal.com/spaces?lid=10572&gid=0&c=0.

Protests, including but not limited to signs, sit-ins, and silent protests are not allowed.

Flyers and other signs may be posted on the wire rack at the main entrance of the Library. Flyers and other signs must have an approval stamp from RES Life.

Animals Policy
Emory University is committed to maintaining an environment that is free of unlawful harassment and discrimination. Emory University welcomes and promotes an open and genuinely diverse environment. In furtherance of this commitment to nondiscrimination and harassment, and in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 ("ADA"), The Fair Housing Act, and state and local law, the University will accommodate individuals with disabilities who require the assistance of a qualified service animal or a support animal (collectively, Assistance Animals). This policy addresses use of Assistance Animals on University grounds and facilities. Consequences
Breaking a University or Library policy may result in library staff following the procedures outlined in university and Library policies mentioned above. For undergraduates, library staff may file a report with the Student Conduct Council; for graduate students, library staff will contact the Laney Graduate School; for faculty and staff, library staff will consult with Human Resources. For visitors and community users, library staff may ask you to leave the library.
