Course Reserves
For Students:
Reserves are books, articles, films, and other items that your professor has assigned for your course work.
To see a complete list of the materials for your class, log in to ReservesDirect and click the title of the course. Items with a pdf or web icon are available online by clicking on the title. Items with a book, disc, or other icons are physical items that can be checked out at the library's main desk in Lovern Hall.
Reserve check-outs are generally two hours long. You can have up to two renewals, unless another student has placed a hold on the item.
IMPORTANT FINE INFORMATION: Reserve items accrue fines at $1 per hour. Be sure to renew or return your items on time to avoid being fined. At the end of each week, any fines not paid at the main desk will be added to your bill in OPUS.
For Instructors:
The library is happy to assist you with placing electronic and physical items on reserve for your classes. Reserves are normally available within three working days, but may take longer at the start of the semester.
All electronic materials uploaded to Reserves Direct must have complete citation information and comply with U.S. copyright law and Emory's copyright policies.
Please contact the library or see our FAQ's for more information.
