Now you can access Streaming Films right from the library catalogue!  As the Emory libraries continue to receive more and more requests for films, we have worked to provide you with access to a variety of streaming options.

Currently we have access through Kanopy Streaming (our main supplier), Alexander Street Press, Ambrose Video (Shakespeare BBC), Docuseek2, and  PBS videos. For PBS videos search for titles in DiscoverE, or go to this link in Kanopy for a complete list.

Kanopy Streaming includes (but is not limited to) California Newsreel, PBS, BBC, Anthropology Subject Collections, Criterion, California Newsreel, Kino, and the Media Education Foundation. You may peruse the menu of available titles through the links above or search for specific titles through discoverE by searching the title and the word Kanopy (ex.  "[movie title] AND Kanopy"). You will be asked to provide your Emory ID and Password for access. Please let anyone on the library staff know if you have any questions or if you need any help accessing these films!

Physical DVDs
Looking for a DVD at the Oxford Library? Our DVD collection features over one thousand titles available for three day checkout. You can find DVDs through discoverE by searching "[movie title] AND dvd" (ex. "12 years a slave AND dvd").

Faculty who wish to place streaming films on course reserves are encouraged to use SWANK.  Check to see if the film you want is available in SWANK then contact the library to set it up in ARES, the library's course reserves system.

Film Screenings
If you are interested in hosting a screening of one of the films in our collection, please review Emory's policies to see if you need to acquire public performance rights. If you need assistance in acquiring rights, contact a librarian
